About the PARSEC Accelerator

The PARSEC Accelerator will offer €2.5 Million in equity-free funding alongside coaching, training and market entry support to SMEs, start-ups and aspiring founders who want to create their own business. PARSEC is a two-stage business accelerator supporting the creation of new Earth Observation (EO) based products and services focusing on the food, energy and environment sectors. Each of the stages can be accessed by participating in the PARSEC Accelerator Open Call. Successful applicants can expect to receive up to €60.000 in equity-free funding (per organisation): €10.000 at the first stage after Open Call 1, and up to €50.000 at the second stage after Open Call 2.

What are the first stage benefits for successful applicants?

Coaching, training and networking provided in the first stage will allow for entrepreneurs from the food and agriculture sectors to discover Earth Observation services and their potential as an asset for innovation. Earth Observation enables faster and better business decision making and can have an important impact on food and agriculture solutions. Examples such as farm management support in Denmark (link) or precision agriculture in Belgium (link) show how Earth Observation permits smart agriculture applications. Participation in the PARSEC Accelerator will enable food sector professionals to discover and effectively apply new technologies, thus gaining an important competitive advantage. Also, cross-border and cross-sectoral partnerships will help them to bring their innovations to new markets faster.
