Accelerating the transition to a circular economy – New business models and the role of the public sector

Capitalising on the interest created by the launch of the revised Circular Economy Package, the event aims to support the governmental transformation towards systemic, circular economy strategies which will stimulate innovation and promising, new, employment opportunities.

The event will show how business models, technologies and capabilities influence the shift. High-level representatives from government, businesses and associations will debate how EU-level policy becomes local policy, which then interacts with private interests.

This event is jointly organised by the European Commission's DG Research & Innovation and the European Centre for Government Transformation (ECGT) and will take place on Monday, 25 January 2016, from 9.30 to 14.00 at the Centre Alfred Borschette (CCAB), Rue Froissart 36, 1049 Brussels.
