EU ENERGY POLICY IN THE WAKE OF COP 21

This 2nd edition of the Energy Policy Summit, to be held at high political and corporate level in Brussels, will therefore be an excellent opportunity:

• To assess the implementation and impact of the legal and technical tools adopted by the EU
• To debate, together with representatives of national and European institutions, authorities, industry, research centres, civil society and media, how, after the COP21, the EU should continue to develop and deepen its policies and initiatives in the energy field.

Topics to be discussed: the new energy market design, reinforcement of energy security, consumers’ role, the increasing share of renewable energy, energy efficiency and savings, safe and low-carbon energy generation, regional cooperation, transparency and governance, the internal electricity market design, a resilient gas market, funding of new energy generation and network infrastructures, improvement of research and innovation developments, etc.
