The conference will present final results and conclusions drawn from each project at three break-out sessions to shed light on:

  • Biking take up among school children through accreditation schemes;
  • Cost-benefit analysis of personalised travel planning in different settings (residential, workplaces and universities);
  • The power of gamification to encourage a change in travel behaviuor;
  • The impact of European co-funded projects to decarbonise road traffic.

A roundtable with international speakers will debate what initiatives prove cost effective for cities to reduce car traffic, air emissions and noise, and how cities, urban and transport planners can tap into travel behaviour change techniques to better cater for pedestrian and cyclists.

The conference language will be English.

Conference programme

The PTP-CYCLE, STARS and MOBI projects all share the common theme of sustainable mobility behaviour change. Whilst our target audiences and approaches have been different, they have realised a shift in attitude or behaviour in workplaces, schools, universities, households and at public events: increasing cycling, walking and public transport and reducing single occupancy car use.

This event will impart nearly three years of learning and results, key success factors, policy recommendations and all the practical examples and guidance documents that you will need to boost your behaviour change programmes in your city.

The final conference programme is available here.
